Central boasts One of the busiest clubs at Central is the Booster Club. This organization works for the student body as a whole through its many and varied activities. lts year began with the membership drive and continued on with the Bear-Eagle Romp after the football game against Adams. Pins and ribbons were sold to boost the club's funds. A new custom was started with the purchase of pins for the officers, and the year ended with the purchase of the traditional hickory sticks. The Bear-Eagle Romp, one of the principal highlights of the Central-Adams rivalry week- end, gave students from both schools a chance to meet and mingle. This year it was Central's turn to plan and carry out the annual affair. The Hickory Stick takes on a different meaning from the switchin' one of old. Members of the Booster Club executive board, Mike Hall, Martha Balis, Linda Orban, and Ruth Whitesell, are shown preparing our Hickory Stick for a football rivalry. 'I7 largest Booster Club in state. Booster club officers, Sue O'Malley, treasurer, Mary Balis, secretary, Terry Miller, vice president, and Bill Hepler, president, are pictured at Berg's iewelry store selecting pins to be worn by the officers, This year's club hopes that this proiect will become an annual event at Central. , 1' s tCK - vomit ,tr rnopnv t msg mum- to mm eq XBENDCIIIHM ttSl-la-WAKA NDIVANA A. mamawsm ,1 -S.. llnnil. 6
