One ot the most useful of all indus- , trial art courses is mechanical drawing, which is taught at Central by Mr. James lngram. This course is recommended for all those planning to enter such voca- tional fields as engineering or achitec- ture. Here in the midst of an array of T squares, circle templates, compasses, . rules, and 30-60 degree right triangles, Robert Miller and Ed Kretch ask Mr. Ingram about some of the procedures involved in their current drafting assign- ment. gk 1 an .sl 'U . f f A I -5 s Qs , a . JE ' fu One of the most popular of all of Centrol's home economics courses is that of clothing. While the girls are learning sewing technique and practical know-how, they ore also preparing garments which they themselves will model in the annual spring fashion show. x ,,- .:-' I ei 'l3 In ceramics class, art students learn to make bowls, vases, pitchers and other Hobiects d' art under the direc- tion of Mr. Garner Marvin. Here John West is seen as he struggles with an especial- ly unweildy lump of clay which is soon destined to become a bowl.

X l One of the most important courses in the industrial arts program is that of Machine Shop. ln this course interested students are given a chance to develop their mechanical and manual skills along practical lines. ln the above picture Bob Blake is seen as he confers with Mr. Morrison, the instructor, on one particular phase of his proiect. rx! Humming with activity and buzzing from the noise of the machines is this class of op- portunity to all interested students. Two office girls hard at work are Nancy Tatay and Barbara Buck. This class offers to all future office girls the chance to learn about office procedure and prepare themselves for the day when they will be handling these duties themselves, 2' 4 EES Diiivrli BW' One of the first things we do in Driver Education is to look under the hood of the car and see what makes it run. Mr. Szucs, one of the teachers, is explaining some of the intricacies of the automobile engine to several of the new drivers. After studying the engine and other necessary parts, we get in- side and learn about the dash board and what to use. Then the big day is here and we get to drive. Just a few months later, and we are ready to get our license.
