Our students train for future vocation The officers of the Junior Issac Waltons club, Gale Jossens, Treasurer, Sue Stafford, Vice President, Carol Fassnacht, President, Sylvia van Bodegom, Recording Secretary, and Bonnie Roberts, Corresponding Secre- tary were preparing to call their meeting to order when this picture was taken. Tree planting and providing bird feeding stations were two of their services, and field trips and tobogganing excursions were some of their recreational activities. li A new science club, the JETS, recently came into existence at Central. JETS, meaning Junior Engineer- ing and Technical Society is composed of prospective engineers and scientists, and the club's activities in- clude field trips, films, projects, and competition in state and national contests, The officers of the JETS are Don Soderberg, Presidentg Sue Johns, Secretary, Thornton Schwenk, Vice Presidentg Mr. Cripe, CPIOLETM and Tom Joyce, Treasurer. These sessions, along with other practice debates during the week, are what helps our Debate Team to be champions.
