These recordings were played at open house in order to inform the students' parents of their class acti- vities. Here, Alden Fritz, Ann Powell, Sue Bourdon, Steve Guy, Tom Wil- more, and Frances Dzierla record their poems. education maiars e periment on student High school offers us prepara- tions for the activities after our secondary education. It very often initiates our interest in future vocations and hobbies, giving us experience in a great range of subjects. Central has a broad vocational department in which printing, woodworking, auto mechanics, mechanical drawing and various other skills are available to the students. The art of human relations, as well as manual arts, contributes to this preparation for the fu- ture. Classes such as English and social studies contribute to this by giving the students their skills in social awareness. Many student teachers come to Central every year to get their prac- tice teaching. Shown in action here is Miss Patricia Carey, a St. Mary's student, teaching one of Miss Ber- gan's classes. The student teachers gain valuable hours of experience with these on the job training duties. Also, they are of great assistance to the teachers. Grading papers, and making out grades are just two of the many jobs they perform.

It looks as if Janice Howard and Judy Frame are trying to help Wilbur Benson with his cooking: but instead of helping, they seem to be getting him more confused. Although these three cooks may be somewhat uncertain, Sally Forrest and Connie Buczkowski seem to know what comes next as they work intently on their recipes. 3 Student put knowledge to practical use N 4 T if i k Ah Experience is the best teacher, as the saying goes and Marie Bella believes just that. As a dental as- sistant, she performs many duties such as keeping the books, making appointments, sterilizing the instru- ments, and helping the dentist great deal by handing him the neces- sary utensils. Marie, like many other Central students, is earning, learning, and receiving credit by working through the Coeop program.
