fb TOWARD PARTICIPATION Through school activities we learn the value of good citizenship. We learn how to cooperate with others and how to accept responsibility. Central offers many extra-curricular activities which welcome partici- pation. Each student is given an opportunity to develop his own abilities and interests through these organizations. These groups, however, do not limit their efforts to their own satisfactionfthev read- ily share the results of their work with the entire student body through programs and services. Every other Tuesday morning students scatter to various rooms in the school for Barnstormers, or Tri-Hi-Y, or any other meeting of their choice. The future scientist, iournalist, nurse, and librarian join others who wish to participate in the same type of activity. By cooperating and sharing responsibility in these asso- ciations we are developing the traits necessary for a better society of tomorrow The services that we offer to Central today through these groups may well be the services we will offer to our communities to mOI'l'0W fir Central s version of At the Hop The night of February 7 these and many other Centralltes were dancing to the music of Eddie Sears and his Quintet This sock hop was given by the Boost er Club in the John Adams Little Theater after one of our basketball games Along with the sell Ing of booster pins this dance was one of the activities of the Booster Club during the basketball season This organization arranges all activities related to our sports programs and is busy at all seasons of our school year backing all malor and minor sports
