Biology is the study of life and living things. Here Bonnie McCoy, Ruby Anderson, and Louise Rague study cul- tures of bacteria under the supervision of Mr. A. L. Smith. In biology class one may find future representatives of many professions, including the important medical field. li. M, 5 .L ey-i' ' f -T f A To SN In the midst of the International Geophysical Year in 1957, a small moon was sent to outer space. Scientists, now from the United States, are also experimenting with satellites, trying to launch them into the outer atmosphere of the earth. More and more scientists are needed all the time. This chemistry class seems to know about this need and therefore is producing two new scientists, Sue Alaska ancl Charles Jordan, Mr. Carrier, having gone over this experiment previously, watches to make sure things go right.
