Our bus drivers were Jack and Ken and our ever-knowl-edgeable tour guide was Pat. We stopped at Chilocothe, Mo., at Hardee’s. The next stop was the General Motors plant, which everyone “thoroughly enjoyed” it and its employees! We then went to Crown Center Shopping Mall. At 4:00 we checked into the Best Western Stadium Inn where we swam and relaxed for a while. Later we left to watch the K.C. Royals get beat by the Minnesota Twins-where our name was up in lights. We returned to the motel in a downpour of rain. Eleven o’clock was lights out. Eleven-o-two was lights on. Everyone got up the next morning excited and ready for a day at Worlds of Fun. We left World’s of Fun at 4:30 after rounding up our sponsor, Mr. Wade. We then returned back to Central at 10:00. with a load of very tired, but very excited seniors.
