Our sponsors were Mrs. Doyle and Mr. Allen. In the fall of 1970, we as Super Sophs returned to the halls of Central. We gained: Melvin Brocksieck, Viviana Lopez, Greg Nall, and Leonard Schnellbecker. We lost: Marsha Callaway, Elvin Cooley, Danny Lieb, Johnny Shaffer, Barbara Sparrow, and Anita Stauffer. Our sponsors were Miss Steiner and Mr. Parker. In the fall of 1971, we again returned to the halls as Jiving Juniors. We gained: Jim Crooks, Russell DeMoss, Kevin Georges, Jack Nelson, and Charla Peters. We lost: Donna Decker, Linda Dooley, Joel Hulett, and Theresa Weisenger. We presented our class play, A Will and a Way under the directionship of Mrs. Wilper. After the successful completion of a dance and selling candy we were able to present the Seniors with a prom, The Old South at the Starlight Terrace in Quincy. Our sponsors were Mrs. Creek, Mrs. Wilper, and Mr. Stevens. Returning for the last time in the fall of 1972 as Sophisticated Seniors we gained: Marsha Callaway, Thomas Casley, Theresa McGartland, and Larry Nobel. We lost: Greg Bliven, Melvin Brocksieck, Jim Crooks, Russell De-Moss, Gary Futhey, Viviana Lo'pez, Jack Nelson, Nancy Taber, and James Yates. Our class officers were: President-Bob Baucom; Vice President-Rod Flesner; Secretary-Debi Tenhouse; Treasurer-Kevin Georges; Reporter-Jane Carsten; Student Council Representatives-Carolyn Ideus, Becky Roy, and Cindy Maynard. Activities of the year consisted of a welcoming dance, our Homecoming Celebration and Dance, our Christmas Dance, the Junior-Senior Prom, Senior Play, our Senior Trip to St. Louis, Baccalaureate and Commencement. Our sponsors were Coach Brickman and Mr. Witty. The world is at our feet now but we shall never forget Central and some of the best years of our lives.
