CLASS HISTORY In the fail of 1967 we entered the crowded halls of Central High as petrified freshman. Our sponsors were Mrs. Doyle and Mr. Allen. In the fall of 1968 we returned to the halls of Central as super sophomores. During the year we lost: Marilyn Akins, Mike Alcorn, Larry Beebe, Mike Gooding, Clinton Hemphill, Merle Jud, Randall Smith, David Toumear, Vickie Van Winckles, and Carol Jean Wigington. We gained: Bob Calaway, William Calaway, and Jerry Long. Our class sponsors were Miss Steiner and Mr. Parker. In the fall of 1969 we again entered the halls of Central as experienced juniors. During that year we lost: William Calaway, Barbara Freeman, Patty Joeckel, Jerry Long, Carolyn Shaffer, Vicky Sidwell, Linda Smith, and Cathy Taylor. We gained Mickael Alcorn, Sonia Bradshaw, and Vicky Eggman. We presented our class play, Our Hearts Were Young And Gay under the direction of Mrs. Jake. From the successful completions of a dance, and selling candy we were able to entertain the seniors at the prom, A Time for Us at the Starlight Terrace in Quincy, Illinois. Our sponsors were Miss Sprick, Mrs. Wilper, and Mr. Wartick. Returning for the last time in 1970 as sophisticated seniors, we lost: Mickael Alcorn, Sonia Bradshaw, Bob Calaway, Doris Davis, Michael Foote, Mark Kelly, Kenneth Wagner, and Lonnie Hargus. We gained: Lonnie Hargus, Janet Sparks, and Pam Winstead. Our class officers were as follows: President--Sam Farlow; Vice-president--Ronnie Pieper; Secretary— Susan Potts; Treasurer--Mark Georges; Reporter--Betty Schorey; Student Council Representatives--Mickey Farlow, Randy Miller, and David Wright. The activities of the year consisted of our Homecoming Festivities and Dance, our Christmas Dance, the Junior-Senior Prom, our senior trip to Chicago, Baccalaureate, and Commencement. Our sponsors were Mr. Brickman and Mr. Witty. The world is at our feet now but we shall never forget Central and some of the best years of our lives. 28

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT I, David Abbot, being of strong mind, provocative body, do hereby will my driving ability to my little brother, my ability to ignore T.S. to Big G , my ability to do accounting problems to Bill Hunsaker and my ability to stay out of trouble to P.T. I, Emmy Lou Adrian, being of mixed-up mind and nearly perfect body, hereby will my knowledge of every party in the area and my fondness of Keith Shoopman to Becky Fross and Betty Heinecke my ability to have fun bonfire night to Deb White; my high position on Doris' black list to Donna T. and Sharon W.; my ability to stay out of ditches to Jack Hamilton and friends; my old marching shoes to Jane A.; And I'll keep Bernadette (my trusty car) and my lifetime membership in the 8SSC (no underclassmen deserve it). I, Paula Barnett, being of mixed-up mind and very abused body, do hereby will and bequeath to Donna C. all my memories in vettes, because she'll probably never have any, to Chris I will my ability to sing Elvis Presley songs, to Deb W. my preaching ability in hopes she'll keep the trips in the band bus peaceful (?) to Vickie B. 1 will my stubborn locker in front of the office, to Donna T. I will a telephone credit card so we can continue our long talks when I leave, and I will keep my membership in the 8SSC because no one can keep up our good work! ! ! 1, Mary Bastert, being of unstable mind and less stable body, do hereby will my exceptional driving ability to Jim, my love of physics class to Alice, and my ability to lose my purse to Diane Moore and Debbie Mohrman. Being of sound (?) mind and unhealthy body, I, Donna Bates, do hereby will and bequeath to all local honkies my unforgivable insolence toward their patriotic acts, and all my rejected highrisers to those who insist on wearing them. I, Norman Baucom, leave to Schnitzel a year's subscription of Modem Bride. To underclassmen I leave good old 343 . I, Carol Blacketter, being of an unbalanced mind and a perfectly proportioned bod, do hereby bequeath my old Elvis Presley records to Mr. Wartick, a case of pop bottles to Sheila Jud and Mary Shaffer, all my bruises received while ice skating to Dougie Smith, my love for good clean fun to anyone who can get it and manage to stay out of trouble, my ability to have fun bonfire nite with the 8SSC to no one since I doubt there's anyone who could handle it, my love for the Boyers to Donna T., and my admiration and respect for the All American Men to the other members of the 8SSC. I, Mary Lou Bockhold, being of wead mind and unstable body, do hereby will to Beth S. a certain freshman guy she wants who has the initials S.F., my seat on the bus to Ruby B., my brains to Merry M. who needs them more than I, my athletic ability to Toni A. who needs it desperately, and my guy I will keep for myself. I, John Brady, being of sound mind and body do hereby bequeath my getting to school on time to my brother, Bob and Rich, and my hunting ability to Bob Baucom. I, Debra Decker, being of unstable mind and broken body, will my locker in front of the office to the person (s) who keep jamming it for me, my ability to drive down the middle of the road to Donna D., my ability to say NO to boys to P.J., my stringy hair to M.M. and my intense desire to be a nurse to S.F. I, Vicky Eggman, being of sick mind and bruised body hereby bequeath the following things: my gunky locker and all the junk in it to anyone who wants it, my no parking sign to certain underclassmen, my job to anyone who wants it, and my ability to blow up the chemistry room to next year's chemistry class, and an ink pen to Junice H. so she can stop bothering mine, My inferiority complex to Mr. Witty and my little brother to a certain senior. I, Peggy Ehmen, being of messed-up mind and underdeveloped body, will my ability to get along perfectly with Miss Sprick to Jill Beckett, to Doug Smith all the fun times on the pep bus, my cheerleading ability to anyone who deserves it, my ability to get out of the house Labor Day to Deb W., and my membership in the 8SSC to no one because no one could handle it. 1, Brad Erke, will my football ability to Jack H. and my Presidents job to M.D. I, Mickey Farlow, will to Sam the ability to know a good cow when he sees one. I will to David Abbott my dead eye aim at rabbits. I will to Dale Stover my quick moves under the basket and my ability to foul out, to my brother Cary I will my basketball uniform. I, Rocky Broer, will and bequeath my drinking ability to all my pals at Central and my '62 Chevy to any one that can use a drinking car. I, Cindy Burgdorff, being of creative mind and beautiful body, will my laugh to Robin L. my great (?) wardrobe to Jane C., my sneeze to Velda Y., my 'ticket' to Sparky and all my love to Gary. I, Toni Buss, being of somewhat confused mind and out-of-shape body, bequeath my attitude to Mrs. Wilper, my friends from Missouri to Junice H. and Vicky E, to Susan F. My quietness, my four-year old P.E. suit (socks not included) and P.E. shoes to the Salvation Army, and my memories and my boyfriend I shall keep. I, Steve Bush, being of stern body and sound mind leave my whole body to Donna R.A., and my ability to stay out of trouble with Mr. Allen to Jimmie Cory Baker. 29
