CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1962 we entered the halls of good old Central High as green freshmen. Members of the class were: Gary Alexander, Joyce Allen, Betty Bangert, Carole Blair, Susan Bluhm, Ronald Boling, Boyd Bowen, Barbara Brierton, Bob Bruns, Benny Bunte, Sharon Bunte, William Bunte, Betty Callahan, Pat Cantrell, Lois Cline, Larry Cojt, Donna Craig, Terry Daggett, Dickie Davis, Sandra Dempsey, Bonnie Doole, Larry Dreyer, Ronald Ehrhardt, Kenny Eilers, Patricia Faulconer, Joyce Flesner, Mary Flesner, Paul Flesner, Jerry Frankel, Dan Frese, Cassandra Gilliland, Virgil Gooding, Nancy Goudschaal, Janice Greenough, Tony Griswold, Sharon Gronewold, Mark Gronewold, Gladys Gunn, Tom Hardy, Susan Hein-ecke, Candace Hogan, John Howald, Nancy Hughes, Dennis Husemann, Linda Ideus, Robert Ideus, Patricia Johnson, Fred Ketchum, Roger Kindhart, Dorothy Leffers, Harry Leffers, Barbara Lierly, Gerald Lierly, Shirley Marlow, Delma Mayfield, David Mason, Kathy Myers. Marlin Squier, Mark Slottag, Dennis Speckhart, Donald Steinkuhler, Harlan Stoner, Maurice Stoner, Donald Taute, Linda Taute, Jane Thompson, Ann Totsch, Gary Tournear, Toni Tritsch, Hugh Wallace, Kathy Wallace, John Warning, Sandra Warning, Linda Wear, Wesley Webster, Gary White, Junaita Williams, Gary Zimmerman: Our class sponsor was Mr. Bennett. In the fall of 1963, we again entered the halls of Central, but this time as Silly sophomores. During the year we lost Gary Alexander, Joyce Allen, Dickie Davis, Patricia Faulconer, Cassandra Gilliland, Linda Ideus, Barbara Lierly, David Mason, Bob Oenning, Linda Pendleton, Bonnie Sidwell, Jerry Squier, Gary Tournear, Toni Tritsch, John Warning, Sandra Warning, Wesley Webster, Gary White, and Juanita Williams. We gained Lizzetta Bastean, Sandra Sievers, Sharon Wietholder, and Linda Ideus. The activity of the year was our car wash. Our sponsor was Mr. Allen. In the fall of 1964 we returned to Central as Jolly Juniors. Our class was sorry to report we had lost the following members: Betty Bangert, Sharon Bunte, Candace Hogan, John Howald. Patricia Johnson, Cheryl Roy, Marlin Squier, Linda Taute, Kathy Wallace. We presented our class play Time Out For Ginger under the supervision of Mrs. Rowell. From selling fruit cakes and pennants we were able to entertain the seniors at the prom, Moon River , at the Holiday Inn in Quincy, Illinois. Our sponsors were Mrs. Rowell and Miss Atkinson. Returning in 1965 as Sophisticated Seniors we lost William Bunte. We gained Chris Benson, Sandy Higgins, Vicky Lieb, Marlin Squier, and Jerry Schieferdecker. We elected the following class officers: President, Kenny Eilers; Vice-President, Donna Craig; Secretary, Susan Heinecke; Treasurer, Janet Rhea; Reporter, Larry Royalty; and Student Council Representatives, Sandy Sievers, Lois Cline, and Mary Flesner. The activities of the year consisted of our Christmas Dance, the Senior Class Play, the Junior-Senior Prom, our senior trip, Baccalaureate, and Commencement. Our sponsors were Mrs. Caley and Mr. Bennett. Sadness prevails as we say farewell to Central High School and some of the best years of our lives. I, Chris Benson Bennett, being of sound mind and proud body, will to anyone the ability to get their diploma under any circumstances. 1, Carole Blair, being of warped mind and pear-shaped body, do hereby will and bequeath my peom writing to anyone foolish enough to leave a private poem in office practice. 1, Susan Bluhm, being of sound mind, do will and bequeath my ability to get an A in bookkeeping to Vicki Lieb, and to Nancy and Kathy, the ability to get along with their brother. I, Ronnie Boling, being of sound mind, 1 think, will my locker to my brother, Jim, and my books to anyone who wants them. I, Boyd Bowen, being of sound mind and feeble body, do hereby will and bequeath, my ability to get along with Coach Galloway to Don Wilson. I, Barbara Brierton, being of average mind, do hereby will and bequeath my old uniforms to Janet L., and to my sister, my books and grades. I, Bob Bruns, being of poor mind, will my ability to get along with Coach Galloway to my brother, Don, and my ability to get in after curfew without getting caught to Don Wilson. 1, Benny Bunte, will my basketball talent to Buddy T., all my good looks to Eddie G., and my locker to the next lucky person who gets it. 1, Betty Callahan, being of pinched mind, will my ability to burn my chemistry book to Ruth Bastean and my job in the concession stand to anyone who can stand long hours and cute boys. I, Pat Cantrell, will my half burned chemistry workbook to anyone unfortunate enough to take chemistry and my P. E. locker to anyone who can open it. 1, Lois Cline, being of sound mind and body, do hereby will to Janet W. my ability to keep a good (?) reputation and stay out of trouble, and to Debbie C. my cheerleading uniform. I, Linda Wear Commons, being of feeble mind and possessed body, do hereby will and bequeath my blonde hair and blue eyes to Charm, my crying pillow to Judy W., my ability to finish school to my sister, Janice, and my ability to keep my husband happy to Marlin and to all future brides. I, Joyce Flesner, being of sound mind, hereby will my ability to pass without too much effort to Carolyn M. and my music ability to Sharon S. and Ruthie B. 1, Mary Flesner, being of stable mind and tender heart, will the Snail to Harry, my passing grades to John, my gas mask for chemistry and all my excess muscle to Rusty S. 1, Paul Flesner, being of weak mind and weaker body, will to Bonnie W. my ability to play the drums and 500 to the porter at the Adams County Fair.
