Clayton Division Thirteen began their freshman year at Clayton High School in the fall of 1952. They were: Henry Hapke, Bob Donley, Everett Ennen, John Shank, Eugene Nicol, Glen Power, Johnny Graham, Gene Collins, Wendell Craft, Shirley Leenerst, Wanda May, Janice Parn. The following students served as officers for the year of 1952-53: Janice Parn, President: Bob Donley, Vice-President: and Henry Hapke, Secretary- 'I'reasurer. Eugene Nicol did not return in 1953, leaving twelve members in the sophomore class. Shirley Leenerts was President: Glen Power, Vice-President: and Johnny Graham, Secretary-'I'reasurer. Mr. Van Ormer and Mrs. Evans were the class spon- sors. Everett Ennen did not return the Junior year. Glen Powers was the class President Bob Donley, Vice-President: and Henry Hapke, Secretary-Treasurer. Mrs. Jefferson and Mr. Van Ormer were the sponsors. At Halloween, the Juniors successfully spon- sored a carnival in the Clayton Community Hall. An all-school play, Girl Crazy , was sponsored by the Junior Class and was directed by Betty Jefferson. It was well received by the community. The class treated the seniors to a banquet at the Junior-Senior Prom held' at the Rushville Country Club. Camp Point Division In the fall of 1952, twenty-six green freshmen entered the halls of Camp Point High School. The members of the class were: Dick Rose, President: Darryl Webster, Vice-President: Barbara Leffringhouse, Secretary: Leland Hunsaker, Treasurer: Lois Clark, Estelle Barron, Jo Anne Balzer, Marjorie Aden, Mabel Secrest, Marjorie Mixer, Carlene Louderback, Alice Tournear, Henry Herrmann, Norbert Witt, Judy Tenhouse, Reporter: Jean Goodwin, Ronnie Summers, Jack Miller, Ralph Embree, Denton Nall, Kay Oberling, Larry Wilkey, Russell Peters, Jim Koontz and Dick Hendricks. Our sponsor was Mr. Shanks. In the fall of '53, we returned as sllly sophomores . Our class officers were: President, Kay Oberling: Vice-President, Dick Hendricks: Secretary-Treasurer, Estelle Barron: and Reporter, Ralph Embree, Our class sponsor was Mrs. Blentlinger. In the fall of '54, we returned as jolly juniors . Our class officers were: Jack Miller, President: Estelle Barron, Vice-President: Barbara Leffringhouse, Secretary: Leland Hunsaker, Treasurer: and Judy Tenhouse, Reporter. Our class play, The Little Dog Laughed was quite successful. Our sponsor was Mr. Wickliffe. We were hosts to the seniors at the Junior-Senior Prom held at the Rushville Country Club.
