Class Prophecy Just think! 1974, and here I am watching Central play Unity in the new Central Stadium. A far cry from the time when Central High was still in three buildings at Golden, Clayton,a nd Camp Point. And look! there are the Seniors of 54 who graduated from those three schools. I wonder if they’re having a class reunion, I heard a rumor that this was their homecoming. Do you know what each one is doing now. If you do, I wish you’d tell me. Well--let me begin with Shirley Aden is now secretary for the new Central High School that has just been completed. We hear Roger Aden has just returned from Reno after divorcing his seventh wife. Doing good for a beginner, isn’t he ? ? ? ? ? ? Bernice Barry is head secretary and typist for Bower Inc. And Dale Bent has taken over the position as minister in the Christian Church since Rev. Fiscus retired. In high school days, remember Gerald Buss as Arthur Godfrey. We understand he has taken over Arthur Godfrey and all of his little Godfreys. We have been informed that Emily Post has retired and Elaine Bluhm has taken over. She has passed a rule “Wash Hands Before Meal Time.“ Donald Brady is now drawing cartoons for the CLAYTON SURPRISE. Gee! There’s Leroy Gerdes a famous stock car driver. And I understand he’s never had a flat yeL I think Lowell Buss is going to give a small sketch from his Broadway show--Kiss Me, Kate. You remember Lowell as Central High’s famous woman lover. Joan Brinkman, now Mrs. Curtis Hibbert, is busy raising her five sons. And Jean Blentlinger is copywriter for the Chicago Tribune. Wilbur Booth is going to college, majoring in English; other students wonder how he makes his good grades without studying. In between halves we were entertained by a world famous toe dancer--Betty Bruns. Betty also has her own school and gives weekly lessons over K. H. Q. A. - T. V. Sitting next to me is Joan Busboom, the model of Queen Elizabeth Clothes. She came all the way from London, just for this great event. Marie Buskirk helps her husband run a saw mill near Five Points. And Jay Bower is now a chief surgeon in the Mayo Clinic. Ann Boyles, who was always very fond of limburger cheese, is now presenting a program with the Lucions Limburger Cheese Co. as her sponsor.
