Class Prophecy of Golden High May 1971 Dear Diary Just home from the Jumor Semor Banquet lmagme me one ofthe mothers who was helpmg prepare the banquet How tlme does fly' ' It made me thmk of the txme that my mother had to help prepare the food when I was a Jumor and we were entertaxnmg the Class of 51 What MEMORIES, and THOSE SENIORS Well they all turned out pretty well at that Let s see There was James McClarey now lfvxng an has Colchester Penthouse and rs the idol of every comxc loving girl and boy He now runs the Corny Crummy Comic Company ln Colchester This celebrated artxst as also a concert pxamst an the McClarey Hall whnch he bunlt wxth hfs tlurd million Then Janice Aden, who is now Mrs Hubert Houston, lwes on a large and beautnful duck farm west of Golden They not only raxse ducks, but also go m for boys Thexr fave boys are now on a natron wade basketball tour of the United States They have played thirty fwe games thxs season and have been able to claim all of them as vxctorxes The boys played such famous teams as the Chatton Chxpmunks and the Big Neck Beavers The Houston Fave are bemg followed by five ravlslnng brunette Cheerleaders These beautxful girls are the fwe daughters of Mr and Mrs Boney Veach Mrs Veach was the former Mass Leatrzce Noftz Besides looknng after her fwe daughters, she as also busy takxng care of her fxfty cats In her spare txme she helps her husband secure contracts to make green convertibles for the Golden Police Force Just thank, Merle Bruns as now Presrdent of Vassar, that very exclusive girls school teaching Mathematics there for the last ten years Professor Bruns has three extra courses a week m Geometry Thus has been hxs favorite subject smce he went to Vassar Just an eye for fxgures, I guess Another 51 graduate was Mary Beers who now publishes exclusxvely GAZE AND STARE for the Golden Fire Department for their moments of relaxation Three mghts a week she revxews her magazine over televxsxon for the publxc She got her experience as a famous publxsher by bexng edltor of the Golden Hugh Annual And back rn 1951, lnttle dad I dream that Melvm lhnen would take over Clark Gable s movie contracts and become the World s Greatest Lover He has Just divorced hrs third wife and has come back to Golden to the old family farm to stay Marxan Aden ns now runnmg the world s famous Neda Model Agency rn New York At the present tune she as the most successful business woznan an the world Marian IS smgle agam after fwe trxps to the Altar and she as st1ll huntmg the perfect male Marnan ns so famous she has her own personal dress designer, Hazel Akers Hazel was also a member of this class Those things she designs' ' Why her latest bathing creation, makes the French bathing suits of 1951 look like Grandma s gay nmety nnghtgown But I guess fame IS not enough, for rumor has It that she as returnlng soon to marry that I-Ienrxchs boy Slugger I believe she called him I m afraid my figure IS not for those bathmg suits, but I just wonder lf I might get her to desxgn me a few of those slmky gowns There s Floyd Leenerts, who rs now a multf mallzonaxre He made all has money by manufacturxng the famous Klassy Kxddxe Kar After fxfteen years he has retnred and IS now back an Golden He fmally overcame his shyness enough to propose to Shirley Eber It IS rumored that Shxrley wrote ham everyday, and he fmally got so txred readmg her letters that he just came back and marned her Now they re raxsxng a famxly and makmg good use of Klassy Kfddxe Kars 14 l - QQ- 0 l Q Q. Then there as June Johnson Mrs Herman Julifs who lwes on a skunk farm south of Golden Their farm ms very successful financially but for some reason they don t seem to have many vxsrtors They have two lovely chxldren Stxnky and Smelly When June is not lookxng after the skunks she is watchmg for her sons special school bus I guess she wants to be sure her sons do make at home from school Imogene Saathoff is now in Washington D C She decided to serve her country after she became so interested an American History in G I-I S After servxng nn the senate for two terms she as an advisor to the President She has never marrzed be cause she puts duty to her country before love Of course I see Charmaine I-Ierren almost everyday as she is now the most distxnguxshed undertaker UI Golden She runs the funeral home which was formerly Black s She got her fxrst experience when she worked there after school back nn 51 She IS now takmg care of all the doctors mnstakes It seems this great class has branched out an all fields Evelyn Post as de enemy with her wonderful bubble dancing Even though all the handsome soldiers surround her she has as yet not picked her lrfe tirne mate When asked for com ments on being an old maid she replies These are the txmes that try men s souls And last but not least IS Alberta Sahsbury I dndn t know her too well as she attended G I-I S only one semester But I hear she as a very famous forexgn correspondent for Lxfe Magazine and as now on a bicycle tour of Europe, wntmg a daxly column As I see Europe From a Wheel Well, that s all the members of the Class of 51 Little dxd I reahze when I helped entertaxn for the Semors twenty years ago that I was sitting among people that would one day be so famous O well, you Just never know do you but I m sure proud of my classmates and of my school Hope this Class of 1971 turns out as well The clock just struck two Really I must get to bed Hope somethxngin terestmg happens tomorrow I5 . , .
