DEDICATION It takes a heap o' living to make a house a home. . . Likewise, it takes a heap of living to make a building a school. . . The Old CHS has stood the test of time. . . given us happy memories, high honors, never-to-be-forgotten experiences. . . it has made it's place in the niche of Central history. . . The New CHS is yet a shell. . . waiting for us, the students, of today and tomorrow, to make it more than just a build- ing. . . to bring forth learning, honors, memories that will become a credit to history in the making. The 1959 Tawasi staff is proud to dedicate this book to the memories of the old CHS, and to the hopes and the future of the new CHS. An architects drawing of the new building. Vonna, all of us here feel the same, Nothing can compare with that lovely name, Or the smiling face, and the great big heart. The consideration for all, that's what set you apart, You’ll be at graduation this we all know, And our picnics and dances, but your face won't show We can all feel your presence whenever you're near. It makes the room brighter, or the day more clear. Watch o'er us, Vonna, each and every one. We'll be your planets and you’ll be our sun. By Mary Sue Cross i a............................. LEST WE FORGET LINDA JONES VONNA Vonna, we miss you, really we do. But we understand, the Lord needed you, We hope you are happy in heaven up there, Vonna, our darling, so beautiful and fair. We all shall remember the fun we have had, In school and at play, the good and the bad, Yes, we'll remember and always shall grieve, When we think of the time you had to leave. The doctors and nurses loved you there. Of you they say, None can compare. VONNA BATHURST 0R,7 MR. It is now spon- sored by the Music Parents. The purpose of the carnival is to defray expenses for robes, uni- forms, band instruments and risers for the Central Band and Chorus. It is traditional for tickets to be sold by the classes on gifts, therefore it is possible for them to have a king and queen and prince and princess to reign over the carnival.
