TARA KAISER, T969 The 1969 Basketball Homecoming will be hard for most Centralites to forget. This season was memo- rable for spirit posters, paper Tigers pinned on shirts and blouses, Attention Tigerette's on the intercom, and pep assembly Battlecries . Although the game on February 7 ended in a heart- breaking defeat, the feeling of sadness was soon lost in the gaiety of the Basketball Dance held the Queen's Dance BASKETBALL QUEEN following evening. The theme Our Hearts Were With Them ' expressed the sentiment of students toward their team. Miss Tara Kaiser was crowned Basketball Queen by her escort Lance Brune. Her court consisted of Donna Hartle, Beth Ross, and jan Seabaugh escorted by Steve Henry, Dave Scherer, and Tim Hahn.

Girls seeking further fun and exercise outside of gym class may participate in a variety of sports: basketball, volleyball, softball, tennis, archery, bowling, and physical fitness. Sponsors for these activities were Mrs. Sander and Miss Towse. Boys' Basketball Intramurals involved 109 boys this year. Meeting for six Saturdays with four games each week from 8-12, coaches Coggin and Pulley led the eight teams through a close season.
