The Bengal's first night of tournament play was lost to jackson. If there was any high point in the season, it was possibly the win against the conference favorite, the Sikeston Bulldogs. Fred Pulley's sophomores dominated the confer- ence in junior Varsity play. An impressive 15 wins highlighted a season of aggressive ball-handling. In the lighter moments of the season, such as the game with Bloomfield, coach Garrett would give the regulars a rest while the infamous Goog Pa- trol took to the court. The audience reaction was always enthusiastic, and though some might under- estimate their performance, they deserve nothing but praise for patiently backing up the starting squad. This year coach Garrett was plagued by a lack of height and experience. Next year six returning letter- men will help alleviate this problem. The potential of next year's team goes beyond the conference. Though the Tigers barely broke even on wins and losses, every game was hard fought and every point was well-earned.
