Co-captains Tom Bridges and Gary Roll led a spirited group of grap- plers through a hard-fought season that was climaxed with the winning of second place at the District Meet. Eddie Connor, Bob Buster, Tom Bridges, Larry Ross, and Don Pigg represented Central at the Melville Re- gional Tournament, and Bob Buster qualified to par- l ticipate in the State Meet. K .

CROSS COUNTRY TOPS DISTRICT Garrett's C.orillas showed the strength and depth of the previous year by reclaiming the number one position in the conference. Carl Wilson's heels be- came a familiar sight to his opponents, and he set a school record of 9 minutes and 48 seconds at the District Meet. The season resulted in seven 1st places and 16th place at the State Meet. The junior varsity rarely failed to make the opposition bite the dust. Coach Garrett will have only a few of the run- ners back next year, and the Tigers will have the mammoth task of living up to a fine record.
