Foreword and edication Around the World --how vast a distance it is! Phineas Fogg traveled it in eighty days in the l800's, but with a modern jet nowadays it is a matter of hours. The countries of the world are drawn much closer through the bonds of modern transportation and communication into a United Nations. Instead of war with its pain and destruction, how much more could be accomplished through international peace programs in which nations exchange educational methods, agricultural pursuits, scientific marvels, and all other worthwhile things to make this a better world. To all people everywhere who sincerely believe in world peace and who give unselfishly of their service toward a better understanding of world problems, we hereby dedicate this 1959 Central High Girardot.
