This year the group sponsored a teacher-parent conference hour following an open meeting in which the community heard Dr. Belmont Farley of the N. E. A. At another meeting a guid- ance instructor at State College spoke, and a fourth meeting was devoted to plans for getting voters out for the tax levy. This year the Boosters' Club took over the responsibility of chartering buses for students to attend out-of-town football and basketball games. Another activity was the sponsoring of football and basketball banquets. Members met every second and fourth Wednesday. Boosters, Club President-Mr. R. A. Brown ing Vice-President - Mr. Louis R. Individually, the Girardot Staffs are organized at the beginning of the school year and Work hard to meet the deadline. The main task of the Art Staff is the mounting of all pictures and developing the creative designs for division pages. Preparation of copy takes many hours and is the work of the Literary Staff. Many club pictures, candi dshots, and school activities are done by the Photography Staff which not only takes but develops the pictures. Financing the Girardot is the chief purpose of the Business Staff, accomplished chiefly by means of contracts with local merchants. All staffs aid in the sale of the year- book.
