Unsympathetic forces have taken selfish ad- vantage, and legislation has become necessary for the protection of childhood, some of the major instances being Child Labor laws, the children's Bureau, compulsory education, the C. C. C., and the N. Y. A. A part of this movement has been car- ried on by the P. T. A., the Y. M. C. A., Y. W. C. A., the Girl and Boy Scout groups, and the great youth movements in other lands. The teachers and parents have a joint responsibility in seeing that justice is rendered to youth.
