Yes, to us students at Central. those Marching Tigerettes are all this and much more. Because of their very excellent performances, they have proven. beyond a doubt, that they possess outstanding talent. and they are now considered as one ol Central's major attractions. To become a Tigerette a girl must pass certain qualifica- tions plus six weeks training under the super- vision of Mr. Elbert Stodden. Besides per- forming during half-times at basketball and football home games and pep sessions. the ABOVE: Mrs. Chester and Beverly Tabar figure their hnancial matters for the Twirlers. They have done a lot to better things for every- one at Central. Members. chosen for this line group by the honie roonis, meet in the Lewis Rooni on alternate Mondays. Preceding the ban- quet. a contest features the regular twirling routines. The winners are announced at the banquet. Also, new ofhcers are announced and awards. such as sweaters. letters. and pins are presented to those that have earned thein. Mrs. Edna Chester is the groups advisor.
