Worthwhile Friends, Gur Classmates T HAS BEEN SAID that a real friend is one who knows you but still loves you. One of the immortal ex- amples of friendship is the story of David and lonathan. Ionathan in his youth acquired an affection for David which was warmly returned and which lasted throughout their lives. Few people recall the actual facts of the story, but it is re- membered for the true and lasting friendship it presents. During our school years we make many new acquaintances, but, as time goes on, it is difficult to remember the exact ap- pearance of our high school classmates even though these friendships were real. We remember few of the experiences we shared with them, but the warmth of their friendship still surrounds us, as does the story of David and lonathan. In days to come, when we leaf through these pages, we hope that these young faces will recall old friendships and bring back memories of classmates true. Page 96
