An enroll- ment ot seventy-tive members tor the year proves that Latin really is interesting. Ever busy in directing the successtul activities ot the club are Miss Eva M. McKinnie and Miss Florence J. Lucasse, the advisers. Anyone studying Latin or having completed two years ot it is welcome to ioin. Behind the formal title, activities go on that would tempt any Centralite. Miss I-Iarrah, a tormer adviser and welcome guest, told ot her early experiences with the language at the September meeting. A Schoolboy's Dream was dramatized by Paul lmler and Byron Sheldon at the November meeting. There were also three movies on Rome enioyed by the members. At the Christmas party in December, Alan Temple gave a Christmas story, and Nina Buchanan described the Roman Saturnia. Dressed as slaves, Paul Lemlxe and Paul Staley passed the gitts. Central's cateteria was the scene ot Danse Romana, a dance sponsored by both Latin and French clubs. The decorations were lovely gods and goddesses and quaint French tigures. Alan Tem- ple and Mardell McDaniel were the Club's co-chairmen. Students whose work has been outstanding in some other club are chosen trom applications tor Boosters by an advisory council. Miss Kathryn -lroxel is the taculty adviser-her tirst year. September was the month ot the annual Booster banquet. Following this event came the tootball season, which was ended by the Booster-sponsored Tiger Mixer, with Janice Cunningham acting as general chairman. Next came the Valentine Pep Ses- sion, with eleven pretty Boosters presenting the basketball team and some teachers with Valentine candy. Donna Burton and l-lelen Niles were co-chairmen ot the event. At all ot Central's tootball and basketball games, the Boosters decorate and sell retreshments, as they did at each session ot both the Sectionals and Regionals, as well.
