The suhject usetl was The Constitution. Harolcl Fiecller won the local contest hy rleleating Leon tiross aml Helen Aclcerman. There were so many schools enterecl that it was necessary to holtl three preliminary contests. In the prelim helrl here, Haroltl anfl the ,-Xulmurn representative were electerl to enter the tlistrict contest. In the clistrict Harolml was tlefeatecl hy Auhurn, hut gained secontl place over the entrants front the other two preliminaries.
