JQHN S. IRWIN, L.L.D. DOCTOR JOHN S. IRWIN, at present superintendent of the puhlie schools of Fort NVuyne, is of Scottish descent. His grandfaither eznne to Aineriezi during the revolu- tion. His father. Dr. Irwin, died in 1832. Dr. .Iohn Irwin was born at Pittsburgh, Pa., April 4, 1825. He was gintluntted, receiving the degree of A.
