MAKING THIS YEAR A SUCCESS Over 200 applications were filed for the selection of the 1986- 87 Student Cabinet. The Student Cabinet has made this school year one of the most outstanding years for Central High School. In conjunction with West Campus, the Student Cabinet helped with preparations for Homecoming 1986. The members aided with the creations of the class floats and the dress up days from October 13-17. On October 28, three days before the important football game between Tuscaloosa County and Central High, Student Cabinet promoted Hick Day, a day to imitate our opponents. Another activity the Student Cabinet sponsored was the blood drive on March 5th, on which 309 pints of blood were given. Many students on this day donated their time and blood for needy citizens in Druid City Hospital. ln addition, Student Cabinet set up the meetings for the Stu- dent Council and displayed a calendar of club activities near the main office. With the expertise of students and the faculty, the Student Government made this year a true success. However, it couldn't have been so significant without Jay Deas, President, Laura Peck, Vice President, Robert Owens, Treasurer, and Kerri Parks, Secretary,
