Edith Palfrey B8 FUTURE TEACH ERS The Future Teachers Club which is affil- iated with the California Education Club, was organized last year to interest upperclassmen in the profession of education. lts primary purpose is to acquaint student interest in teaching with the advantages and requirements of the profession. During the Christmas season, the members of the F.T.C. made wreaths and decorated the doors at Central High, They also decorated the Christmas tree in the auditorium. ln the spring, they attended the Education Conference at Fresno State College, which was presented by the education club at FSC. FUTURE NURSES CLUB To promote the interest of nursing is the main purpose of the Central chapter ot the Fu- ture Nurses Club. Organized last year by its sponsor, Mrs, Tha- lia Smith, the Future Nurses Club has completed many worth while projects. They include: making Valentine Favors tor the elderly women's trays at the County Hospital, touring the Valley Child- ren's Hospital, and having nurses who were from the General Hospital speak to them on the ad- vantages and disadvantages ot nursing and cour- ses and requirements of the profession.
