FFA Each year the FFA boys exhibit heads ot live- stock, crops, or agricultural mechanics at the Fresno District Fair. This year, as in many years before, they won tive trophies, one plaque, sixty dollars in cash and Sl,l48 worth of prizes. They took part in the Annual Cotton Picking Contest in which the highest two cotton pickers of each group received a belt buckle. The win- ners were Jerry Craveiro, senior and John Pen- una, junior. Other projects included: exhibiting livestock at the i957 California State Fair, toy drive for F -afa needy Children, contributing to March of Dimes Theffgreenhondyore being initiated, and Cerebral Palsy Fund, and Father and Son Banquet held in March. INDUSTRIAL ARTS The Industrial Arts Club was formed by boys taking General Shop and other ln- dustrial Arts courses in l956 tor the pur- pose ot providing the members with the opportunity to learn more about the shop trade. The only requirement to become a member is that the student must be tak- ing shop or mechanical drawing.
