f7X S S. X O x 1 gonewond As the year began we looked to the future. ln looking, we saw rockets, satellites, and space platforms, So staying in step we adopted as our theme for this 35th edition ot the El Centro - Space - At this time we would like to introduce Mr. Link who came to us from ??? to help record and picture the events of Central. He became so enthusiastic though, he joined in the activities with the students and shared their joys and sorrows. Changing times present new ideas and approaches to lite, and in this annual we did just that. You will see, if you think deeply about the cartoons, the ideas behind them with an eye to the future. We hope that you will use this as an inspiration to further the goals you have already set, for success only comes with time and a lot of work and energy. We have shown Mr. Link in many various activities and projects. He, at this time, would like to express his joy in spending this year, l957-l958, with you and your community. Qponte, team cliampiomeliips at Cemtiiall Words, no matter how elaborate or lengthy, can never do justice to a great person. For a person who has dedicated his life to care for, love and help the students of Central, the dedication of our annual is a small and humble gift indeed, but, just as words never do justice to a great person, neither do gifts and presents. We can only thank this person for his fifteen years of service to our school with a memory book of Central's activities, which we hope he will treasure as much as we treasure the many acts he has performed for us. To you, Mr. Martin Kaufman, we, the staff of the l958 EI Centro dedicate this yearbook. Coach Kaufman gives instructions to the var- sity football team during the half time break.
