The of boys team consisted of a completely new group because most of last year's veterans were graduated. Although a new team, the boys worked to- gether as if veterans. Because of the vast amount of speed in the backfield, Coach Kaufman used a wing formation. The team played in new uniforms this year. The uniforms were orange with black numerals and were worn in league games. Old uniforms were used in non-league games. At the end of the season, Pete Simonian was chos- en outstanding player and Galen Becker and Jim Rajskup were chosen team captains and they should be commended for their outstanding performance on the gridiron. Coaches Marty Kaufman, Robert Porter and Ray- mond Finnegan should be commended for their great job in turning out an outstanding football team and in helping boost Central Union High's team spirit.
