activities amd dances Central's court of royalty was filled this year with some charming and attractive students. To lead off the royalty was JoAnne D'- Alessandro, Queen of the Freshman Dance. Janice Miguel, who was also May Day Queen, reigned as the Football Queen. Next on Central's list of royalty was Nancy Burleigh, Christmas Queen. The Basketball Queen this year was pret- ty Barbara Branscum. Judy Lieder was chosen as the Spring Day Queen. Last of the pretty queens was Beverly Perkins, Baseball Queen. Yes, Mr, Link is just as sports minded as the athletes you will see in this section. Football, basketball, baseball, track, and tennis are all the top sports in which Cen- tral's athletes participate. The trophy case in the main hall is proof of the many victor- ies of our teams. SDorts is one of the most exciting and interesting phases of school life. We not only get to know the opposing school better but it helps boost our school spirit a little more. We compete against the following schools in all our sport events: Bullard, Chowchilla, Dos Palos, San Joaquin Memor- ial, and Washington Union. These five high schools plus Central High make up the North Sequoia League.
