lllllll EXECUTIVE EUMlVllTTEE The worlc and recreation ot the student body was carried on during the year under the able leadership of the Executive Committee headed by Martin Ramos. Helen Yraceburu managed the student body finances, Donna Holland kept records of the meet- ings, and Kenneth Lust made sure that all was quiet and peaceful in the meetings. Elmer Freitas with the El Centro stat? worked hard on this edition ol El Centro and turned out a very fine annual. ln the way ol recreation many interesting rallies were put on by Marie Nari and the Rally Committee. Also Betty Engleman and the Social Committee did a good iob ot planning the school dances. The student body congratulates the Executive Committee and Mr, Hartman on a iob well done. FORTY-SEVEN 1948 EL EE THU STAFF ' The EI Centro staff headed by Elmer Freitas, editor-in-chief, and with Mrs. Saunders as their advisor began working soon alter school started. They took Old Spain' as their theme and have carried it out on the covers and throughout the annual in as many ways as possible, The staff has worked many long hours to make this Yearbook one that you will always treasure because of the pleasant memories that it recalls.
