4' ,, : FRANK CIRILLI Assistant Principal Advise and supervise-that is the job of Mr. Cirilli, Dean of Boys at Central. Annually, hun- dreds of boys find their way to his office, receiving from him the solution to the problems which are a daily part of our complex school life. ALICE LOMOE Dean of Girls Wise, understanding, gracious, Miss Lomoe is at ease in any situation and firmly maintains discipline among the girls at Central. Further, she recognizes the need for training girls in the social graces and, as their ac- knowledged leader, guides them thru a program that will enable them to hold their own in the social positions they will occupy after graduation. Courteous and efficient are two words that sum up the office force at Central. Marion Elli- son, who has so capably acted as secretary to the principal, left at mid-season to become a part of the force at Blaine. Her duties fell to Frances Putnam and a new-comer, Carol Lettenstrom, who is already making a niche for herself in our hearts. Students appreciate the pleasant per- sonalities of these girls and the consideration shown to solving their difficulties. Mary Jo A1 ndt, xx ho is in charge of the busi ness end of the Student Program, makes the hand- ling of bus tickets and collection of student fees a pleasant task rather than a chore. Every one in school knows and loves our school treasurer. g orricis FoRcE

BOARD OF EDUCATION Back row, left to right: Dr. H. D. Callaway, Mr. John Berg, Mr. George Shaw fSupt.J, Mr. Ralph Erickson, Mr. Arthur Westlund. Front row, left to right: Mr. I. L. Nichols, Mrs. Walter Lin- degren, Mr. Hugo Swanson. Absent: Mr. Roland Amundson Good schools don't just happen. They are the result of long hours of planning on the part of a duly elected board of education and its chosen representative, the superintendent. Theirs is the task of providing a school program that's right for all students, the academically minded who go on to college and the non-academically minded who must be able to step into an economic spot in the community as soon as they leave school. Though its problems may snowball, the local board will still weigh them carefully, realizing all to well that youth is our nation's most precious re- source. ADMINISTRATION GEORGE E. SHAW Superintendent of Schools Central is proud of the promotion that came to its former principal. Mr. Shaw has always extended the spirit of cooperation and friend- liness to anyone who needed it, and carried that same spirit into the superintendency. MAURICE BROWN ,,-we Principal g . n Mr. Brown believes very firmly in the prin- ciples of democracy and in h1S quiet, con- sistent way endeavors to build his school policies around them.
