J R. Ill-Y The Jr. Hi-Y consists of the younger boys at Central which meets once a month. School boys have as one of their primary interests athletics. As basketball is Centrals major sport the Jr. Hi-Y's first speaker of the year was our new coach, Burt Niles. Mr. Niles talked of the importance of training and of the benefits of it. The spring sport, track, offers more boys an opportunity to participate and again Coach Niles was given an opportunity to sell that athletic program. Mr. Dierdorf told of his war experiences while in the service, and Reverand Conkling talked to the boys about the things revealed by one’s individual hand writing. The schedule of the Jr. Hi-Y was somewhat affected by the interruption of school this year, although they had a variety in the program. The season was concluded by a musical program consisting of records as recorded by Mr. and Mrs. Freed in their work with Homer Rode-heaver during the summer. OFFICERS President ....
