PHYSICAL EDUCATION Variety is the keyword in Central's Physical Education program. Many varied and diverse courses are offered by this department. In the tenth grade, one semester is spent in regular gym classes, reveiwing fundamentals and learning new skills. During the other semester, each tenth grader receives training in driver education, health, and first aid. The eleventh grade program involves advanced work in sports and physical exercise and introduces swimming to all students. Home and Family Living is taught to all twelfth graders for the dur- ation of one semester. The twelfth grader could then choose between gym or another class to complete his phys- ical education training. l lilliililllll if :QU

They are architectural drafting, automotive trades, machine drafting, machine trades, printing, sheet-metal and wood-working. Any individual may take a begin- ning course in one of these fields merely to add to his general education. Ad- vanced courses, however, are offered only to those students wishing to be- come proficient in one skill in order to enter that field of employment. L ,,
