Three of Central's sports aggregations stole the lime-light this spring as the tennis and golf teams were able to chalk up undefeated on their record and the baseball squad suffered but one setback, to rank high on the Conference list. Four members of the CHS football eleven: Harold Stowell, Ken Youngs, Gerald Santman, and Carl Guse received honorable mention on the All-Conference team and on the Gazette All-City squad. Monte Nye also was voted a place on the All-City team. In basketball, Bill Schuring, who broke the Conference scoring record during the Muskegon Heights game, was elected to the All-City cage squad. Holding their own, the swimmers and cross country runners completed a relatively successful season, but the trackmen have a different tale to tell since they met with defeat in all of their encounters.
