Each staff member is proud to have had a part in the grovvth and development of Jackson in this way. We consider it a privilege to have contributed in some way to your future. The present graduating class represents that sixty-ninth milestone for us. You have gained a high school diploma and yet you have acquired a responsibility to the community. All of the varied experiences that you have had at Central High School: classes, activities, athletics, and co-curric- ular opportunities, have contributed to your maturity as a citizen. We would congratulate you on your progress through the years you have been with us. As you go forth will you remember to be useful and responsible citizens, to exercise initiative and self-reliance, and to foster that which is good even though it may mean sacrifice to you, and you will sustain your alma mater in the years to come. The homecoming activities, especially the pa- rade which featured a contest among homerooms for the best float, and the Christmas door-decoration competition vvere two of the most successful projects ever carried on at Central. Students sold over two thousand bags of peanuts for the March of Dimes. The Student Council and P.T.A. held the annual spaghetti supper.
