Not only her mathematics students, but all with whom she comes in contact are deeply and lastingly impressed with her absolutely unselfish and tireless efforts toward the development of all students. GUY ALLSUP Guy is well known around Central for his quiet dignity, friendliness to everyone, and his Confed- erate uniform. ROB ERT AMES Robert, with his friendly grin, is a real pal. This tall lanky senior possesses a quiet air and intelli- gence which make him an asset to any group. JAN ANDERSON This blond, blue-eyed miss is as attractive and full of energy as she can be. Her witty way adds pepper to any salty conversation. JOE ASHLEY Joe, the Toe , with his powerful punts, is one of Central's outstanding athletes. Always ready for a good time, Joe crosses his bridges when he reaches them. SALLY AVERY lt's good to know a girl with an attractive face and a keen mind. Sally stands out because of a flawless complexion, neat clothes, and constant chatter in a Southern drawl. CLIFFORD BABB Clifford is always doing his best to get out of work. Easy-going and friendly, this senior is well liked by all who come in contact with him. CHARLES BACON A baritone voice that can't be beat and a personality that's tops characterize this likeable senior, C'harles will always be remembered for his excellent per- formance in Brigadoon . GUY BAILEY Cuy's quiet manner is just a false front, for under it is a constant stream of wisecracks and laughter that will make you enjoy life as he does. RAY BAILEY Ray's deep pleasant voice and beautiful dark wavy hair are but a few of his good characteristics. He adds to these his truly sincere and good natured ways. JERRY BARFIELD This pretty senior has won her way into the hearts of everyone with her beaming smile and attractive personality. I-Ier understanding and kindness make her a leader whom all are willing to follow. ALICE BARNES Tiny Alice is far from being unnoticed. Her brun- ette features are striking and the twinkle in her eye is attracting. She has a different kind of charm that's all her own. DOUG BARNES Doug is a Iady's man from way back. With his good looks and winning ways he has found his way into many a heart. VIRGINIA BARNETT Stylish Virginia is characterized by her big smile and sparkling personality. Her sparkling blue eyes and glossy hair are only two of her assets. JANIECE CECILE BATES CeciIe's black glossy hair and diminutive figure are familiar to all as are her pleasing smile and Hello! Her success in life will be due to her calm, easy-going nature. VIRGINIA BATES Virginia, with her quiet reserve, friendliness, and sincerity is a friend worth having. She is more than willing to help anyone in need. CHARLES BEAVER Besides being a valuable member of the football team this year, Charles is a favorite of both sexes around Central. His easy-going manner and like- able ways make him very popular. ROSS B EC K Ross, with his friendly ways and winning smile, is a top man on anyone's list of friends. His agreeable nature and politeness make him a gentleman in every way. HARRY BENSON To know Harry is to have a life-long friend. His willingness to help and his unending cheer make him a delight to be around. IRENE BENSON So engrossed is she in discovering the good in others that she has never a thought of her own comeliness. Her love of others will make her a perfect nurse. BOB BEST Bob, a happy go lucky lad, is characterized by his cheerful capability as well as a touch of ioviality. His casual manner belies his considerate and thoughtful ways. PHOEBE BETHANY As serene and fair as a cameo is this lovely senior. Phoebe is always thinking of the other fellow, and a radiance about her, as her name implies, truly reminds you of the moon personified. ANNA SUE BISHOP A fountain of bubbling chatter, Anna Sue is always fun to be with. Her cheerful disposition and friend- ly helpfulness show her true worth. CARLENE BLACK Forever smiling, Carlene has a glamour that de- mands a second look. Her trim figure is comple- mented by stylish clothes and her face by flashing brown eyes. FLORENCE H. BLOUC-H Florence's soft voice and dainty lips cause her to be the envy of many. Always ready, willing, and able to cope with any problem, she's a true friend to turn to, DICKIE BLOUNT Friendly Dickie is known and liked by both boys and girls. His quiet yet beaming smile character- izes a personality and sense of humor that make him tops On any list. BENNIE BOCOS A mischievous grin tells you that Bennie is up to something-making friends. This applies not only to work but to fun as well, for his happy nature is always uppermost. JOHN BOYD John brushes away the worries of the world as he goes merrily on his way. He is a very likeable fellow, and there is fun for all when this cheer- leader is around. TOMMY BOYD Tommy is one of those fellows who take the world as it comes and enjoy it. His friendly and unassum- ing manner has won him numerous companions. MARY ANN BREAZEALE Mary Ann, a petite senior with lovely brown eyes, has a quiet, tranquil manner. Her lovable nature has won her a place in the hearts of many friends. CWENDOLYN BRIGHT Her friendliness and loving nature endear her to us all. A sunny disposition plus a witty personality will bring her through any crisis. Where there is music there is Gwen. FRANCES BRISTER To describe Frances, the phrase neat as a pin comes to mind. With her gracious ways, she fully deserves her office as Company D sponsor. PEGGY B ROWN Neat and attractive, Peg is one of Central's well- dressed girls. With poise and sophistication at her fingertips, she can become carefree, nonetheless. ROLAND BROWN A slow, easy smile and blue eyes are sure to gain for Roland the attention of the girls. He never seems to be concerned about anyt'hing, but is foot- loose and fancy-free. NADINE BRYAN Silky golden hair, blue eyes, and a hesitant smile give this pretty senior an appearance that is ex- celled only by her ways. BETTY BUCHANAN Betty is known to everyone at Central by her friend- ly smile and cheerful greeting. Her winning ways and gracious manner have endeared her to all who know her. HOWARD BUFORD Howard is a likeable, easy-going fellow who gets along with everyone. He has a great sense of humor and a friendly smile for all. BESS BULLOCK Bess is a willing worker who doesn't mind lending a helping hand. Her sincerity and tranquil manner account for her many friends. AL BURNETT He never goes unnoticed, yet never strives to bring attention to himself. Not at all hestitant with his friendliness, he's a regular fellow. BOB BURNS An intellectual and conscientious worker, Bob is a favorite with both teachers and students. His friendliness and high ideals mark him as one bound to succeed. BARBARA BURROUCHS Lively and lovely, B has that talent of making everybody love her. Her success in everything she undertakes and her vivacious personality make her deserving of her job as Editor of Tiger Talks. Her smile can make the sun come out on a rainy day. CHARLOTTE BURT Bright-eyed Charlotte is one girl who really loves life. She is known at Central for her intellect and her lovely soprano voice. JOE BUTLER Talkative Joe can make anyone laugh, even the teachers. Though little, he certainly makes up for size with his ability to make you forget your troubles with a laugh. GLENN BYRD C-lenn, a clean-cut fellow with an athletic build, is the sort we just naturally like. He has a friendly smile and an abounding interest in all Central's activities. MEC- CALDWELL Meg has the ability to make everyone love her at a glance. Her red hair and lovely voice make a combination that is hard to resist. A friendly smile from her is like a sunny day in winter. JOAN CAMPBELL This lovely senior is known to everyone for her friendly nature, her shining eyes and cheerful smile. Her attractive looks plus all these make a combination that is hard to beat E. DICKIE CARAWAY Never a harsh word-always a compliment and friendly greeting come from Dickie. His jolly dis- position and fun-loving ways make him every- body's friend, JERRY CARLISLE Jerry, an outstanding member of the debate team, is known for his superior intelligence. His suave manner gives him a way with the girls, too. WILLIAM CARROLL Good tasts in clothes, good looks, sparkling per- sonality-what more could you ask for? William has all that and more. His smile and wit make him a favorite everywhere. WILEY CARTER ls he ever not grinning, getting into mischief, or looking for a good time? Nevertheless, Wiley al- ways seems to have time to win a lot of friends for himself. JOHN CASE In his years at Central, Jo .n, our senior class presi- dent, has been a shining example to all of us. His high code of ethics and a genuinely friendly dispo- sition have won him popularity and our lasting respect. EUCENE CAUSEY Friendliness, pleasing personality, big smile-what more could you want? Eugene has all these qual- ities plus more that make him a well-known fellow at Central. MARTHA ANNE CHAPMAN Quiet Martha has endeared herself to all of us by her patience and charming personality. We can truly say that she will never be forgotten by any of her many friends. MARY RUTH CHRISTOPHER You recognize Mary Ruth in the halls by her eager greeting. She gets to know people, and we remem- ber her for e nack for easy conversation. PATRICIA CHUNN We could not ask for a Iovelier person than Patricia. She iiidhtens every day with 'her good humor and warm friendliness. Patricia is sure to be outstanding in years to come. MARGARET CLARKSON You never see Margaret unless she's having lung you never hear her without a flow of lively chatter, you never forget her sweet face framed by natural curls. BETTIE SUE CLEMENT This lovely new-comer has already made a place for herself in the Girls' Choir and in the hearts of those who know 'her. Friendliness and enthusiasm are her major assets. EARL CLEVELAND This tall senior lad takes everything in his stride. He's as much at home on the basketball court as he is with any crowd, and surprises us with his dry wit and good humor. JERRY LYNN CLEVELAND We have no words to describe her, for no words -s could do her justice. Sweet disposition, many friends, striking features-what more could a girl ask for? JUNE CLIBURN We have 'here a lovely Company B sponsor with a lot of grace and big, pretty eyes. However, there's a gay side to her as well, for June can be quite an entertaining cut-up . BOBBY CLINTON Here is a boy that's absolutely great! His intelli- gence, personality, athletic ability, good-looks, and never-ending friendliness combine to make him everything a girl could want. CAROLYN CLOC-STON Carolyn, with her poise and quiet manner, is a charming person to know. She is both intelligent and lovable, as all who know her will tell you. BARBARA COATES She always has an interesting word to pass on or is willing to lend an ear to anyone. Barbara is a combination of thoughttulness, sincerity and under- standing. PAT COLE With beautiful dark 'hair and a peaches and cream complexion, Pat is admired by many. Her sweet nature and thoughtfulness hold a place in the hearts of all her friends. ACRANDZE COLEMAN A unique beauty to match her unique name makes Agrandze stand out in any crowd. Her sweet ways and thoughtfulness have won the hearts of many Centralites. CLAUDETTE COMBS Pert Claudette is ever on the go. With her un- limited supply of get-up-and-go plus her cheery disposition, you just can't be gloomy around her. MARY MARTIN CONN Mary's blond curls and neat appearance coupled with her small stature remind us of a charming China doll. She tops this off with a wonderfully sweet disposition and exceptional artistic ability. CECIL COPELAND Cecil is admired by everyone at Central for his un- ending willingness to work and do every task well. His friendly manner and diligence have proved him a worthy person. JIM CORBITT Quiet Jim is not so quiet when you know him. Beneath that cool dignity of a star athlete he is as fun loving and talkative as a parrot. ELLZA COTTI NCHAM This song bird has an enchanting voice and a vivac- ious personality. She is a friend to everybody, and everybody is her friend. MARTHA ANN COURTNEY Dainty Martha Ann has that quiet way that makes you love her. Her sincerity and friendliness make her a favorite among her classmates. BILLY CRAIG Quiet and conservative, Billy fascinates his friends with stories of his travels, for he has lived in many interesting places. JANICE CRAWFORD A dash of Venus with the style of VOGUE, Jan- ice's personality is as gay and lilting as her reddish hair. Blessed with both beauty and brains, she's as refreshing as rain. JIMMIE RAY CURRIE Jimmie Ray'5 attractive appearance, witty ways, and sincere friendliness endear her to us all. We are sure her future pupils will love their teacher as much as we do. ROY DENEVE We like to hear him talkg we like his good-looks and his manner of dress. His personality is iust easy-going. He's the kind of person you like to be around, ROBERT DENSON The idol of all Central's camera bugs, Robert has added much to our Cotton Boll wit'h his photos. His cheerful disposition just naturally makes every- one admire him. BRYAN DEWEES Bryan is one of those amazing boys who manage to breeze through high school in two years. His good looks, pleasing manner, and ability to be always well-dressed are outstanding. BOBBY DOAK Friendly Bobby is Central's loss to Missouri this year. Although he may not live here any more, he will always live in the memory of his classmates of Cen- tral. BETTY DOREMUS Possessing stylish clothes and jet black hair, this striking beauty brightens everybody's day. With her fun-loving personality she's full of surprises. BETTY DORMAN Quiet and kind, Betty is a person worth knowing. Sincerity is one of her outstanding characteristics and her friends know and love her for her thought- ful, unselfish ways. RAY DORSETT Ray is one of the lucky people of the world who possess the rare qualities of never-a-care and why worry? He is a true friend and 'has a rare humor which is enjoyed by many. - RICHARD DORTCH Known for his good-natured disposition and per- sonality, Richard is a friend to everyone, and every- one is his friend. All this plus his acting ability makes him an unbeatable combination of the best qualities. CARL DUKES You never know what to expect next from Carl. He has a carefree manner, and his mischievious grin gives you a pretty good idea of his nature. BOBBY DUNN Bobby's your man for any job, for he's as depend- able as the day's long. Whet'her you want a favor done or a ioke told, he's ready to lend that helping hand. DUBBIE DUPERIER Dubbie is truly a man among men and even a greater man among women. This is his first year in our school but his refined manner has already won him a place in the hearts of all. CHRIS DURDEN A regular fashion-plate, Chris shows extraordinary taste in clothes.
