PllElEllIlllIllNS Publications at Central include the student news- paper, the yearbook, and a literary magazine. About eighty percent of all work on the news- paper, Tiger Talks, is done by the journalism classes during school hours. No credit is received for Cotton Boll work, but this year-book staff, comprised entirely of seniors, furnishes 36 distinct positions for capable and tal- ented students nominated by the faculty and voted on by the student body. Pegasus, a literary publication, is handled by a staff nominated by English teachers and voted on by the English classes. Work on this publication is extra-curricula, but it is ably supported by the English departments here and in the two junior high schools of the city. MRS. SUSIE P. CREWS B.S. Delta State Teachers' College SPECIAL EVENTS Each year top-ranking journalism stu- dents are nominated for Quill and Scroll, an international honorary society.
