MATHEMATICS ETEPAHTMENT The Mathematics Department aims to create a continuous program of develop- ment in the understanding of mathemat- ical processes to be met with in real life situations. The program is in two parallel courses: an academic course for those who may desire to extend their studies through college and a general course suitable for business or practical application to every- day occupations. The general purpose is to give to pupils an understanding of gen- eral mathematical processes and to devel- op the powers of reasoning. LONA C.
