Since that time the organization has expanded with the growth of the school. The purpose of the society is to promote literary and social intercourse in the manner of literary programs and social activities. On March 19, the society sponsored a book review, “North to the Orient, at the Y. W. C. A. Part of the proceeds from this review were used in purchasing books for the school library. On April 17, the society gave an invitational dance at the Junior League Building, honoring the senior lettermen in the three major sports. Some 225 persons were present. Keeping in line with the spirit of the Texas Centennial, the society presented the following literary programs during the school year.
