Horton Hagan McMahon Womack Coffey YELL LEADERS Yea Tigers! Yea Tigers! Fight! Fight! Fight! . . . how familiar those sounds and what memories those yells bring back of the exciting foot¬ ball games of the past year. While the boys oil the gridiron were fight¬ ing their battles, the yell leaders were having their struggles with the fans in the stands, urging them to cheer the Tigers on to victory. Earl Horton, chief yell leader, won many friends with his genial smile. He was very ably assisted by Malvin Coffey, yell leader for his second year, Wallace Ragan, and J. F. Womack. Charlotte McMahon, song leader, also won many friends with her pleasing personality and pep. The cheer leaders accompanied the football team to Beaumont and Conroe, and they were present at all of the home games. The cheer boosters should be given credit for staying in the thick of the game with the football team, cheering them in victory or in defeat.
