B THIRD CAPITOL OF THE REPVBLIC O OF TEXAS O The third capitol of the Republic of Texas was in K Houston. It was a wooden structure which stood where the Rice Hotel now stands. The capital was moved to T Houston, December 15, 1836 and remained there until W 1839, when the Congress of Texas ordered its removal 0 to Waterloo, Texas, now Austin.
