SOCIETY 1936 Whiz Bangs! What? Why the Black Battalion dances this year of course; the Football Frolic, the Valentine Whirl, the Vice-Versa, and last the Annual Battalion Formal held at the Country Club. A most successful season. Congratulations! One gala event of the season was the Elaphian cele¬ bration where the football boys went elite with a pro¬ gram dance and really enjoyed it. A series of teas, luncheons, bridges, dances, open houses, and other entertainments crowded the last two months of school. With such lovely hostesses as Margie Byron, Iris Harper, Grace Nichols, Katherine Russell, Mildred Dattner, Helen Pasternak, Katherine Smith, Jean Ray, Frances Garrett, Essie Lee Aiken, and Cap¬ tain Dorothy Bradshaw. It’s no wonder everyone was happy. Gab! Gab! Gab! The Debater s Banquet where no one but Lewis Crosson and Edd Miller could talk. No room for anyone else! Of course, we must mention the Etta Kett Banquet where President Charlotte McMahon, charming as ever, showed her taste in the planning of the gay affair. In all, you see, these grand times we’ve had are really unforgettable, and we hope, in years to come, that a glance at this page will remind you of your happy school days.
