This society was formerly the “Old Yazee Club” which was organized at the Y.W.C.A. by student members. This year, the society has enjoyed various social activities. At the beginning of the term, a luncheon and a theatre party were given by the members in honor of those who had been pledged to membership. M rs. Miner complimented the members with a Chinese tea at her home where true Chinese atmos¬ phere was enjoyed. A party was given at the home of Martha Stewart for members and their guests. As the club has done each year previously, a tea was given in honor of the senior members. Each program that the society had this year has been on the topic “Habits and People of Foreign Nations.” Members of the club and teachers of Sam Houston have spoken on this subject. Mary Lou O’Kelly opened the series with a talk on “South America.” Mrs. Miner speaking on “China” con¬ tinued the talks. As she spoke, she exhibited articles and clothing that she had brought with her when she returned from there. As Mrs. Hogan talked on “Hawaii,” she illustrated her points with photo¬ graphs that had been taken while she was there. Miss Hubbard concluded the series with a talk on “France.”
