COACH DUGGAN Coach Duggan has proved that he is a very able basketball coach also, since he has started coaching at Sam Houston. Although his teams have not always finished on top, they have been noted for the fine fighting spirit that Duggan has instilled into them. When given the material to work with and develop, there is not an abler coach than Ed Duggan to be found anywhere. CAPTAIN HAL WEIDEMEYER To ' ' Squat -lo” Weidemeyer must go credit for being one of the peppiest players ever to play for the Tigers. Hal shone especially in his guarding of the opposing team’s sharpshooters and rarely failed to turn in an excellent job. He was always fighting whether the T igers were winning or losing, and showed that he was as able a leader as a team could have. Hal is only a junior and will be hack with the Tigers next year. ASSISTANT COACH HUDGINGS Saco” is also an able assistant to Coach Duggan during the basketball season. When needed, he is ready to take charge of the team. He devotes much of his time to the coaching of the B” team, which is generally made up of first year men and others who must learn the fundamentals of the game. Through his team, Hudgings furnishes opposition for the Tiger team in scrimmage sessions.

This was his second let¬ ter and his last year on the team. George Munger, Forward George’s accuracy in hitting the basket gave the Tigers many a badly needed point. This was his first basketball letter and last year on the team. Chester Chonowski, Guard Chester won his second let- let in basketball this year, being the only reserve on the team to letter.
