fufilzleilk Cowzrzf Bznzquei Un the evening of Thursday, December ij the l'niversity Club provided the setting for the banquet given by the Athletic Council of Central. The Christmas motif' was evident throughout the table decorations. Miniature Christmas trees bearing cards marked the places, while treesof a largersize decorated with candles and tiny ornaments were spaced at intervals along the horseshoe shaped table. The middle of the table was banked with smilax and poinsettas. After the live course dinner Mr. Moyes introduced the speaker of the evening, Dr. Oberholtzer, who made a very interesting talk on student spirit and sportsmanship. Then Mr. Simons, the coach, gave a short talk on the past football season. .-Xt the close, he awarded the letters to the team. The captain, Bruce Kattman presented Mr. Simons with a leather key-retainer and hill folder, which contained a five dollar gold piece for little Doc, and the sponsor, Jane Gohlman, with a small gold football as tokens of the team 's appreciation of their loyalty. Then the letter men elected lfrank Halla captain for the coming year. .-Xfter the banquet the guests adjourned to the club ballroom where they danced. Among those present were Dr. and Mrs. Oberholtzer, Mr. and Mrs. Black, Mr. and Mrs. Moyes, Mr. and Mrs. Simons, Miss Patterson, Mr. Duncan, Miss XYeinburg, Mr. Watson and Major Bronson. rbiav -QF
