Therefore the nirls interested in commercial work have seen Fit to organize a club in which they strike a happy medium between work and play. As one of Central's oldest organizations, the Commer- cial club, recently renamed the K-mesh Klub , has played an important part in molding the futures of many girls, who have chosen steno- araphy as their profession. At the weekly meet- ing of the K-mesh Klub , a auest speaker tells the girls about his particular line of work in the commercial field, so they can decide what phase of work thev wish to continue in the future. Girls like to forget their lessons once in a while, and really have a good time, Once a month the members of the K-mesh Klub en- tertain with a social meeting. Buffet suppers and line parties seem to be the favorite type of enjoyment, and luncheons and parties are held in the homes of various members. For the nast few years Mrs. O. T. Gilbertson and Miss Eunice Newman have been the co-sponsors ot the organization.

Paint Brush and Easel A swish ofa brush with the help ofa hand and o picture is painted or maybe a stage set is drawn. Such is the work of the art classes. Central's art department is very efficient, be- cause the art students see their place in the world of tomorrow, whether commercial artists or portrait painters, to be important for giving happiness and beauty to humanity. Two helpful organizations in Central are the Make-Up Club and the Stagecraft Club. The Make-up Club is very beneficial in assisting the performers in assembly programs, while the Stagecraft boys are responsible for the lighting effects and stage properties for plays.
