ORCHESTRA Those who venfured down fhe fhird floor and heard sounds of Beefhoven, Mozarf, and Grieg issuing from room fhree sevenfeen probably guessed fhaf fhe orchesfra was pracficing under fhe wafchful eye and acufe ear of Mr. Presfon Wells. This group of musically inclined sfudenfs is acfive in all of Cenfral's musical funcfions. Many of fhe members are in fhe All-Cify Orchesfra, which is made up of a group of specially selecfed and highly falenfed pupils. Beginning in fhe fenfh grade wifh liffle experience, fhese pupils, combining fheir zeal wifh fhe experf guidance of Maesfro Wells, develop info skilled and confidenf performers. The members of fhe orchesfra realize fhaf music is an ouflef for fhe emofions in a world in flames, and a medium for fhe expression of freedom.
