-Z9 sus 53 lla gmf '7'1 xg XXX Four years have elapsed 'IRCC the present I2 A s entered the portals of Central Hugh School as students for the first tlme of that remarkable mstltu tron It had taken these four years to change the departmg I2 As from dlmrnutxve 9 B s to senlors of responslblllty lt seems yesterday that the present graduating class which has learned to love and honor nts Alma Mater entered thus school as a class of mnth graders afrald SUSPICIOUS and filled wlth awe They were bewlldered and looked upon the faculty as bemg heartless wxthout mercy and far from frlendly But as trme went on our vrews changed the faculty seemed frrendlrer and more helpful the school had lost much of its blgness and we were all eager to do something even m a small capacity for Central We had begun to learn our faults our deflclencles and trled with the and of the faculty to correct them leave a great lmpresslon upon us Term after term passed and as we became older Centralltes our duties and responsrbllltles seemed more apparent Then we became conscious that our graduation whrch seemed so nn flnrtely far as mnth graders had approached very near and we started the work that would make us worthy of bemg a Central graduating class for we pledged ourselves to the precedmg class that we would brlng ourselves up to the standard of former Central classes The functronmg of the class commlttees of the Centrallte Staff and of the casts of the Class Plays coupled wlth our I2 A dances and social functxons served to make our last semester mterestmg and enjoyable Now as graduatron rs nearing and we must sever our actxve relations from the school we feel that we can justly say that thxs class has contributed much to all Central s actxvxtles both Athletlc and Scholastic Graduatlon IS a joyous and sorrowful occasion m each of our llves l brmgs us joy because we have successfully completed a course of study last mg for four years m thus great school and are now prepared to enther con tmue our educatlon or seek our successes m the busmess world and ut havmg sadness because lt IS the hour of partmg from a school and a life we learned to love so well To the faculty we owe our success for their co operatlon and advrce and to Central we owe everything for her teachlng of those great Ideals and tradltrons Saul Levlne l v ii 1471 V V Y' 7 4 K XX Y 3 I 4 lt was at this time that the spirit of loyalty and self-sacriflce began to
